Kindergarten 2026
Starting school is a major milestone. It is the beginning of new friendships, routines, and the road to a lifetime of learning for the whole family. Beginning school is an exciting time for families but we acknowledge that is a big change in both you and your child’s life.
At Warners Bay Public School we offer a comprehensive transition program to make this change a positive experience for your child and you as parents.
Our Kindergarten team organise and run a variety of sessions for both parents and children. As our transition sessions are not a one-off you and your child will have ample opportunities to ask questions and discuss your child’s needs.
Our transition period is designed to be fun and get children excited about beginning school while also easing any nerves. We also have great relationships with preschools to further facilitate each child’s move to school.

We will have more information to come soon on our Kinder Club Playground which will run in Terms 3 and 4.
Our formal school orientation program will also kick off in Term 4. Dates and times will be confirmed soon. One of those sessions will include a School Readiness Information Session which is designed to provide an opportunity for new and current parents to learn more about our school, teaching and learning programs, and the best ways to support your child on their transition to school.
Teachers will give practical advice that can be used to enhance your child’s beginning school journey. More information on this session will be provided before the commencement of the orientation program.
